Hi there H&H Readers!
Just seeking some suggestions and opinions for Lo-Cal Balancers for a 14.1hh Welsh Cob. Had a busy season this year with BE, but we've been lucky enough to qualify for Badminton next year for the Grassroot Championships
!
Obviously, he is a good do-er, competed most of this year just on Mollichaff Original and Pegasus Cubes, but obviously want him in tip-top condition for next May, so was looking up at Lo-Cal balancers such as:
TopSpec Lite
Baileys Lo-Cal
Spillers Lite
And Id only just realised that Dodson and Horrell have an 'Ultimate Balancer' designed for good do-ers but they appear to have a lot more Vitamins in than the others from what Ive gathered, a little more expensive than the Baileys, but will last him 50+ days.
Hoping to feed him one of the above alongside Alfa- A unmollassed. Our only issue is keeping the energy up in him mid-season, hence why choosing a balancer now! (So if anyone has any tips for the energy without putting on too much weight and keeping the calories off which is one of the hardest things to do as regards horses feeding.. typical!) Tempted to try NAF's "Ener-G" shot, the opposite to their Magic Instant calmer, so would be handy if anyone has used that too!
Thanks!
