London International horse show

Chestnut back in and a bit better this time but still scary to watch. Interesting to see Andrew jump off immediately in the warm up… i wonder if checking for blood in mouth?

No it was the guy who slapped his horse on the neck 3 times that retired.

This chestnut is bonkers. Obviously a lot of talent but is he really enjoying it? But then saying that, Ladina B used to come down to the wall leaping and bucking and she was a brilliant puissance horse.

Rachel Proudley is a class though.

I mean the horse can jump. And sometimes puissance is the only thing the crazy can do. I just don’t think this will do him or the horse any favours long term. Even if he were to win it.

For context he looks to have had the ride of the horse since 2021, obviously not at FEI level but seems to have gone through the ranks of SJI.
Huge contrast between his riding and Rachel Proudley, she’s so composed and neat.

"Back to nice calm stylish riding" is how the commentator described RP. So why be so enteratined by unpleasant, stressy, style-free riding!

I'm wondering what it could jump if could manage a slightly more conventional manner
