I am on the look out for some new long dressage boots.

My last pair were Cavallo and they are very lovely but I have just tried them on and my calves have got too fat (or, may I say muscled!!). Gutted but I'm going to have to sell them, or maybe part ex if the shop is very nice.

I've just looked up the price of new ones - oh my word!! Inflation or what! I will have to save up for a bit I think. I have returned to riding after a break of a couple of years and I hope to compete in the spring.

I did like my Cavallos but they weren't the softest, so does anyone have any recommendations?

I went to our local branch of Mole Valley Farmers today - to buy some cheap magic gloves (as we got cold hands when we rode this morning) and as normal came away not spending less than £100!
What I did buy was some V cheap long boots - they are plastic (leather look) , but have a sort of gusset thing, and the look of long dressage boots (zipped) and were an amazing £33.32 + VAT - which made them under £40.....Brogini.....I tried them on and they fitted really well, made my legs look really nice and long. The zip seems fairly tough - and as I intend only to use them for hunting, and not everyday use - then hopefully they might last a season.
I also bought a NZ rug, and a very stiff brush for getting mud off the unclipped youngster - hence hitting the £100 mark!

I have treadstep Donatello's. I cant recommend them enough! comfy, warm EXTREMELY smart and half the price of other leading long boots :)
