Long boots

Is it an Ariat thing where they suddenly drop and start eating the back of your legs/ankles? Or just mine?

I've had them for years, still OK. I do keep the trees in them when they are not in use though.

Yes, my 3 long Ariat top boots are always in trees too, 11 yrs, 5 yrs and 4 yrs old and all rotated depending on event, none are ankle rubbing.

I found the worst for this is Mountain Horse Sovereign. I had two pairs and sold them both on ebay as they dropped so badly that they looked dreadful. I had them properly fitted by a rep on the MH stand at Badminton a few years ago so I know they fitted correctly (they were pretty snug). Such a shame as they aren't cheap.

I have the Heritage Contours II (and about a third of the quality of my original pair) but I don’t have trees in them…

They were fine until they dropped, and now it looks like I’m wearing boots that are too short again while eating the back of my legs ?
