Long riding boots with front zips

I agree. Mine took two HIGHLY PAINFUL weeks to break in. I cannot wear them for long periods of time if I'm going to be walking as they rub the backs of my ankles. When you're riding, your heels are stretched down so obviously the boot accommodates that, and not walking.
So are you saying you wouldn't recommend Celeris?

I have celeris which were comfortable from the first wear.

and some konigs and petries that took a bit of wearing in. They have to be a bit too tall when they are new otherwise they will end up too short when broken in (cork heel raisers are your friend)

My konigs have leather soles, I would not go for them really as they get pretty slippery when wet. I'm sure they are available with a rubber sole.
I find them all comfortable to ride in now. I got celeris with laces for comfort in the summer because my legs swell when it's hot ?
