I am hoping to get a lorry early next year (sorry I know it's ages away but am trying to plan ahead!) and was originally going to get a 3.5t as they are nice and compact and I thought it would be ideal as my first box.
The problem is I have 3 horses, a TB, a Welsh D and a Section A, although I'd probably only take one out at a time initially it would be nice in the future if I could take the two bigger ones out together and possibly all 3 together if the need arises so really a 3.5t may not be the best option long term.
After talking to a friend about it recently I am now wandering if it would be worth me getting a bigger lorry to give myself more freedom on what I can legally carry. What sort of size do you think would carry my 3 legally?
I think I would have to do some sort of Lorry/HGV test for anything over 3.5t so what is involved in this? What could I expect to pay for a course and test? And where can it be done?
Any advise would be much appreciated!
