As the title says. I sit really deep into the saddle and find it comfortable, prefer it to rising trot sometimes. Also, find it an easy transition from sitting trot to canter. I ride a big boned 15.3hh cob just like a big armchair, maybe this is why I find it so comfortable maybe different if he was a bony TB ;)

My mare is very comfy, so I sit to her a lot - she seems to prefer it too, and goes better. My husband's gelding is another matter - he is also a jackhammer (like that term!) and its a nightmare sitting to him.

I love it on my sister's pony and some of the ponies/horses I ride..but my 16.2 big-strided TB is another matter and I despise sitting trot on him!

First learnt to love it on a TBx. Now riding a TBx it is pretty difficult on (SJer so not used to trotting at all)... determined to get there though!

ETS: does depend on the horse/rider combo a lot... have ridden and loved some who sitting trot just wasn't good with (either due to our compatibility or their sensitive backs or both)

No because my horse doesn't do a shuffly cob trot ;-)

*stands back and watches hand grenade detonate*

:D
