My mother went to one of the new forest sales years & years ago and came back with five feral foals. (18 years later we still have one of them as well though she's not feral anymore haha).

But wow this thread is brilliant - catembi so pleased for you, about the horse, the house, the doctorate, all of it! Summer looks wonderful too! Oh and I hope you pull off the little lie with your husband lol.
 
The Conv has been had with o/h... We were discussing financial responsibility (!) & he was saying that we're actually both quite sensible (he was a former chief economist) because I've never yet rocked up with THREE horses... So taking my cue from that, the next day from the safety of the train, I started a text conv with, 'you know you said that THREE horses would be reckless...well, how about ONE...?' Then he said, provided you have somewhere to stash it until the house is ready...' So I said, 'Well, theoretically how about Keysoe...' then later on in the conv, '...theoretically how about this horse < insert link to Summer >

This went on for quite a while, and by the end of the conv I was convinced that we were both on the same page...although surprised not to get more of a grilling that night...

FFW to mtng with my academic supervisor & the course supervisor, at which o/h was note-taker... I was discussing how I do NOT want to pay another year's uni/doctorate fees for the finishing-up faffing... Promised myself a horse for finishing... fee money has been spent as horse has been ordered & is on its way...

Interesting conv on the way back to the tube as o/h thought that the text conv had been purely theoretical whereas I thought he'd realised that it was REAL! So in the notes, he has written, 'New horse already ordered???'

Oh well, never mind, at least everyone knows now! Although I am not sure he has realised that she is being delivered tomorrow. His hearing is v bad & sometimes he says 'okay' when he hasn't heard me... We will see!
 
Just caught up with this thread and, goodness, what a tale! She looks like a lovely horse and I hope your OH falls in love with her too and can't imagine life without her, ha ha. Have fun with her :D
 
Haha catembi that's so funny. I think the poor hearing may well work in your favour. 'We talked about this, don't you remember?!' Is that mean of me?
