How long after this can I start riding normally?
My boy was lame last Friday, with no obvious injury (small area of mud rash), heat or swelling, I didnt worry but on Saturday, his hind leg was swollen from his sheath area to his hock, so got the vet who said his temperature was up and diagnosed Lymphangitis, with a weeks worth of ABS and painkillers and to watch him carefully. He said he felt we were lucky as we had caught it early and to keep him out as much as possible with light exercise when he was more comfortable. The next day the swelling went to his fetlock, but thankfully his leg looks normal now, he is sound and has stood in today without it swelling. I have walked him this week as advised but wonder when I can start doing a bit more with him. The ABs have finished and he has 2 more days of Danillon to go.
