Martin Clunes: Horsepower - ITV 3 - just about to start!

I do like Martin Clunes, funny in Men Behaving Badly, very good as miserable Doc Martin and obviously a man with good taste in loving horses. Like his choice of horse too, nice mix of shire x hanoverian.

Loved it, so intresting, I want to try join up! But with my lads past record with jumping out of arenas when being free lunged...I dont think so.

Cant wait for next one!!

Forgot to mention, Monty Roberts is looking a bit thin in the face, but I guess thats whats happens when you get older, I do like him, He has such a nice way about him.

Was so sweet how much he loved his horsey :D & the fact he was proud too, alot of men get funny about it!

I also loved how it wasnt all done in horsey terms, so non-horsey people would understand what he was going on about! If it inspires one person to start riding it was worth putting it on tv! :)

I loved it too! Can't wait for the next episode - speaking of which - I didn't hear when it is next on? My heart was in my mouth when the 7 month old foal was getting to his/her feet after the operation! xx :D

It was a wonderful program - I can't believe it was on for an hour - it felt like about 20 minutes it was so good. Can't wait for next week. It was so nice to see a man who is so compassionate and enthusiastic about his animals and not afraid to show it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Martin loves his horses and it brought a lump to my throat as he wasn't afraid to show his love for these wonderful animals!

Looking forward to next Sunday!

I was so impresed with part 1, It was amazing to see so many talented trainers and horses, i thought how much taking his findings and aplying to all horses especially who are really unnerved would really beinfit everyone incl. the horses and riders or special needs kids. I teach occasionally an autistic and dyspraxic boy watching this made me think of how he could beifit from lots of the information martin found and tryed.

It was good. However, not too sure about the woman spouting psychology rubbish. Apart from that it was really enjoyable and I want his horse.

Martin Clunes rides with a neckstrap, snaffle and a cavesson noseband.

I've just died and gone to BHS heaven!

Love him!

Does Chester have a bit of stringhalt?

I loved it!! I have a wild mare donated to me by someone who bought her out of sympathy at melton, she was a bag of bones and terrified of life itself. I have had her since may and she has been turned away with my boys to gain weight and be left alone. Last week however i said she has had a rest and now needs handling.... i have been successfully joining up with her in my round pen, i could flippin cry.

really enjoyed it, and it was lovely to see Martin Clunes' sheer joy at just being with horses of all kinds, especially as he'd said he'd had no involvement with them till his wife and daughter roped him in. looking forward to the rest of the series

I mentioned that to my daughter, off side hind, right hand side looking from behind, had a much hight gait than the near side. Nice horse all the same.

Actually he did ride as a child.

I noticed this too! xx :)

He was at The Hand Monty demo with Chester and I have a feeling they said he had a bit of arthritis and so was slightly lame (he was definitely lame then not like what was on the programme today).... however I might be misrememberingso if any one else was there can you remember!

Loved it. Jean Francois Pignon is great. I saw him at Olympia and it was magical. I liked the arabs as well :)

Actually, there are quite a few of us chaps who don't mind admitting we love our horses....ermm cough...wanders off to do something manly, like bang nails into a big bit of wood, while fixing a lorry engine :p

Haha! I thought just the same! Am a total bore/grumpy old woman on the subject of unnecessary gadgets so was thrilled! Really lovely to see him on such a well suited horse that he obviously thinks an awful lot of. Just fab! Hannovarian x shire looks an amazing sturdy big hunter type!

I like Martin Clunes as well, he was brill in MBB and as Aspergered Doc Martin, nice to see a bloke who loves his horse, I love mine to bits and dont care who knows :)
