Mattes sheepskin girth covers

Hi does anyone know if you can use the mattes asymmetric sheepskin short and long girth sleeves with a non mattes girth please? I.e a fairfax/prolite girth? I can't determine from photos whether the cover attaches to the girth or around it and if it attaches to the girth whether it can attach to a fairfax or prolite girth. I can't seem to get through to mattes to ask. Thanks

I had one, I don't think it would have been any good with my fairfax. The Lemieux cover is pretty good, very tight fitting and doesn't move.

Ok I'm specifically trying to find out if the mattes ones can be used with other girths, do you think it could or do you think it can only be used with the mattes girths due to the way it attaches?
