Well finally back!!!
smile.gif

Left this morning at 8.00am and now its 8.30pm!!!!! a very long day
blush.gif

Anyway arrived, tacked up, wandered over to the dressage arenas at 10.45, with expectations of warming up at 11.05 for a 11.32 test. Well that went down the pan!!!!!!!! kept looking at my watch and it said 10.55, then looked hard at it and realised the bl**dy thing had stopped working!!!!!! and it was actually 11.15!!!!!!
blush.gif
Cue mild state of panic!! Anyway was lucky that i gave her a shorter warm up as it was soooo warm she was very hot by the time she got into the arena
blush.gif
She gave me a lovely feel in the test and i was happy as we came down the centre line at the end to halt and salute
smile.gif
Cue second state of mild panic - judge steps out of her car...............and says "just wanted to say that was a lovely test, is she yours? you make a lovely partnership"
grin.gif
laugh.gif
Panic over and i left the arena grinning for ear to ear
grin.gif
My jaw dropped through my feet when i saw we got a score of 24.2 and best dressage

cool.gif

So took her back to the trailer, and went to walk the XC - well it was the most technical intro i had ever ridden and certainly the most technical course that Hattie had ever jumped - it was going to be a serious test!!
blush.gif
Nerves that i never get started to kick in
crazy.gif

Had to wait until 2.50pm to SJ, she jumped really nicely for a clear, jumped out of her skin over the 90cm course!!!!!! she was clearing them by about 2 feet!!!!!!! LOL!!! Then onto the XC and i could feel she was on form
smile.gif
the first time ive ever felt that she actually really wanted to go XC
smile.gif
She rocketed us out of the start box and just took us for the ride of our lives
grin.gif
clearing all our "bogey" fences, the trakhener, ski jump, coffins, water
cool.gif
grin.gif
i was ultra pleased
grin.gif
laugh.gif
Mum was very relieved and she even managed not to go and hide in the portaloos
wink.gif

So it was a bit of a dream day - Hattie was absolutely awesome, i couldnt have asked any more from her - she really looked after me, i cant thank her enough
grin.gif
cool.gif
So we WON on our score of 24.2 and came home with a rather nice crystal vase
wink.gif
cool.gif

On to Borde Hill next week and im all to aware it could go belly up - she's still only a baby after all!! But hey ill enjoy this while it lasts
grin.gif
laugh.gif

Well done! Excellent

Your in my section @ Borde Hill !!! Great a!!
grin.gif

Shame you cant PN because you are more then ready to get PNing now!! Stealing all those red rossettes!!
grin.gif

Big well done again!

Huge well done to both of you. You really deserved that WIN!
Your test was super, i watched it and was wishing i was in another section lol

I wanted to say hi, but we were both busy at the same time.

Congratulations
smile.gif

Vxx

It was because you told her about the lovely prizes!!!! - only kidding!!!! Don't let your mum near the vase as my mum broke mine! well done - you must be so proud - 2 intro wins in a row! stop panicing about borde hill - forget past results and kick on, there is no reason you shouldn't do as well!

i can PN her now (my 16th B day was 2weeks ago
wink.gif
) but as she is a temperamental chestnut mare and still very inexperienced we're finding our feet at intro first - if that makes sense??? she will do Borde Hill and BCA intros, then Milton Keynes IRF and then PN from then on if everything goes to plan (which it never does!!!!!)
grin.gif
wink.gif

Thankyou everyone
smile.gif
cool.gif
its really appreciated
grin.gif
I know she will probably surprise me again at Borde Hill but i know all to well that if i get complacent i make ridiculous mistakes so im piling the pressure on myself so i focus
wink.gif

Another HUGE well done hun!
What a fab day good luck next week hun!
Was hoping all day for my txt to say you won hehe then the blooming thing ran out of battery lol!

definately feel comfortable at intro. It is easy to win without feeling ready to go up a stage - don't be rushed to go up before you both feel ready. will hopefully see you at Borde Hill. How's fiddler?

Yes I know what you mean. Two wins though you must be chuffed!!! Intro must be boring now!
grin.gif

Wish I wasnt in your section on sunday!! Although Spider did manage a 30 in the PN yesterday but im sure you wil beat us hands down!!!
grin.gif

Will hopefully see you @ Borde Hill
smile.gif

What a brilliant day!!
Sounds like you are more than ready for PN - good luck for that later in the year.
Looking forward to seeing photos when available.
Well done.

Fiona

There's no stopping you!
shocked.gif
Right you and Hattie are now banned from jumping BSJA at Golden Cross or Crockers if I'm there OK? LOL, only joking - but remind me what your transport looks like, then if I see you parked up I can carry on driving past.......

grin.gif

Seriously, you must be a really talented combination, all credit to you for working so hard on her. Huge well done!
smile.gif

Im definitely not going to rush her - it just cant believe that this time last year she planted all the time and she wouldnt jump 1'9'' XC fences!!
blush.gif
crazy.gif
So with that in mind we are giving her plenty of time to find her feet and learn to enjoy this sport without frightening herself
smile.gif
i would love to PN now but i know it wouldnt be right yet
wink.gif
Fiddler is boisterous, loveable and soooooooo ready to go and show the world he is the best but he is way too OTT to take out anywhere is public yet so we're doing our homework and hopefully he will intro or PN at Pulborough and munstead
smile.gif

Holly Jane - honestly each outing is a steep learning curve for us, atm we are on cloud nine but im not getting my hopes up , we're dealing with horses at the end of the day and i know next weekend we could just have a bad day
smile.gif
i cant wait to see Spider bet she'll be ace
grin.gif
laugh.gif

Yes they do have bad days!!
smile.gif
Spider is cool I do love her!! I got some of those new impulse spurs on sat so going to wear them in my tests from now on, as although she had a decent mark I know she can do sooo much better!

Cant wait for Borde Hill its a lovely event
smile.gif

[ QUOTE ]
Will you do any PAVO qualifiers this year?

[/ QUOTE ] would love to but as she is 6 (though a very very late foal) she would have to do novice and there is NO way we are ready for that!!

tongue.gif

JH53 - LOL, its ok we arent BSJAing for a while now anyway, we are doing the BN 2nd round but that's it until novemberish
wink.gif
cool.gif
anyway im sure you'd beat us against the clock any day
grin.gif

YAY sooooooooo looking forward to meeting you and her
grin.gif
laugh.gif
cool.gif
Borde Hill as you say is a really fab event - first time i competed there was area novice Pony club horse trials two years ago and it was great
grin.gif

oh
shocked.gif
I thought she was 5!!
grin.gif

Your right maybe a bit too much. Shame you couldnt have done a BYEH she would have done great at that
smile.gif

I'll have to brush up for the indoor season then! LOL, I may have been super speedy on my old nutcase mare, but I have anewbie now who *touches wood* seems pretty sensible
laugh.gif
tongue.gif
Although she is also a ginger mare (what are we like ey? Collecting these ginger beasts) so depends which way the wind is blowing....
wink.gif

Where are you jumping your 2nd rounds? That will be a great experience for you - best of luck
smile.gif

Hunny, dont listen to any one else. You did super today, and WHEN you feel H is ready to move up you do so.
It was lovely to see you have such a lovely day, the xc was a hard Intro IMO and many others - beautifully presented but not EASY by any means.
Shes come a long way and thats all down to you. You keep going the way you are and you will be going PN very soon, but at your leisure, and dont feel any pressure to move up - thats the problem get you pressure from ppl to move up, and you could have one little mistake which takes you back again.
You keep building up that confidence like you are, and you will have a better horse for it.
