Mcuking out in Jammies....

I have pulled clothes on over pj's especially in cold weather,. Always hope car doesn't break down or I have an accident! More to do with mismatched jammies than anything else.

I often turn out and muck out in my pjs.Saves on getting clothes filthy when a pair of pj bottoms and a vest top take less to wash.

Mine are kept at home though so it's slightly different (I think :o )

I used to in the morning when mine were in with strangles. id roll.out of bed put my wellies and jumper on and go and do the needful :-) was always 6.30am so no one there and tbh easy enough to wash a set of pjs tgan jods!!

I wear my jammies under trackies/waterproofs on cold days at my work. Also ended up riding a friends horse there in my onesie recently. Must say I really recommend riding in a onesie, think it was comfier than riding in jods!! Jammies are extra cosy and really comfy :D

Oh God!

I am 41 and have been mucking out my horses in my PJ's for the last 30 years, I keep my horses on DIY and am the regular joke for wearing Pj's at the weekend! what they don't know is I do this all week too they just don't know it because I am the first one up there and they all arrive after me!, Pj's are comfy and this saves on washing, plus they are jolly so keeps me cheery through the long winters!

I have seen other sights at the yard early in the summer my YO was feeding in her camisole and French knickers and at a yard I was at before the farmer was wandering round the yard in his pants, then he came to talk to me about harvesting a field for a god 20 mins I had to keep a very straight face! or the time that one of the liverys ran down the yard to the loo, but had undone her jods and pushed them down past her bum a good 20 strides from the toilet this would have probably been weird but fine if she were not going commando! what a strange woman!

when i was heavily pregnant my PJs where the only things thzat i felt comfortable in and actually fitted me!! quite a few mornings i would park the car outside the field, put wellies on and hay and water them :P

I don't wear PJs but have certainly been known to put out, skip out, late feed in my dressing-gown but the horses are at home, I never did it when we were at livery.

My horse lives approx 20 seconds away from my back door but I still find the time and strength to pull on some trackies and a coat at the very least before I go out.
Not sure OH would appreciate my horsy stinking pyjamas!

When we were at Trailblazers I went to feed/hay/muck out both mornings in my pjs and wellies. We used to do it when we were at 3 days too, many moons ago!!! Both very public places, ah well must be a bit of an exhibitionist!!!

This is pretty standard at overnight shows!

Many a morning I have shoved my pjs into wellies, coat over the top, then trekked half way across a show ground to feed and skip out. You definitely don't look out of place :D

I know it only takes 5 minutes to get dressed, but when your boss has a 8.30am trot up, you throw yourself out of bed at 6am to feed, skip out and check that all 4 limbs are attached, and then you can return to bed for another hour. Whereas, if you've got dressed, then you have to find jobs to do for an hour (tack cleaning ).

I've done my pony in my pjs several times, most sundays that I have off actually :) but I always chuck my wellies ontop - not my slippers! Eeww!

I turn mine out everyday in pj's but they are at home, I only ever muck out in them if I have a hangover, I wouldnt drive to them in pj's though and would never wear slippers.

I do everyday! My horse is up the road about a min away so I just get up quick before hubby and boys wake up and run full pelt up to yard to do job and let horse out. It's laziness more than anything really and I guess just because I can.

Me this morning...

crawl out of bed in PJ's, put slippers on, fluffy jacket thing (which I think is actually a bum length dressing gown from primark) kettle on, put on warm coat, go out the back door into feed room, make up 3 feeds, and go and feed my 3, all in the paddocks (at home) back in, make coffee and get back in bed with laptop....

do the same in summer but in a nightie... or when its hot (july/august) slip a dressing gown on as its to hot to wear anything..

though... I would draw the line of going to a yard in pj's ....

Haha that was exactly what I did but with Welles than slippers as it was muddy - and I did put hay out and also pick up a couple of poos from field shelter, and let the chickens out.

I do the morning feed and fill water in PJs...with a full-length yard coat over top and wellies, though, so PJs are completely covered! Have been known to trot outside in a bathrobe too...but my place is very secluded, and I don't poo-pick in a bathrobe. It's the first thing I do, even before coffee. I wouldn't wear PJs on a livery yard or generally where other people might see.

When I was still living at home and had my two horses outside the door I always went out in PJs, wellies and a coat to let them out and chuck them their hay. Wouldn't muck out in the jammies I sleep in though, that is gross! If the weather is rubbish here I will go to work in a pair of old jammie bottoms under waterproof trousers, it's the cosiest thing ever :)

I sometimes muck out in my PJs in the morning if it's really cold but I put jogging bottoms and a jumper over them and they will go in the wash as soon as I get home. It definately keeps me warmer at 5am in the morning :D
