So excited
he passed his vetting with flying colours and we picked him up an hour later! After deliberating the name for ages, decided to keep 'Finnegan' which will be 'Finn' for short- as it is on his passport, and I will be calling him 'Oberon' as his show name (Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream- King of the Fairies)- wanted this to be his normal name but my sister was having none of it so will have to do
he is being called Fairy already though poor thing! My other mare is called Summer so seemed to fit the theme with Midsummer etc..
Also the Irish vet said that where he came from had some link to fairies, and of course with the jubilee I feel the king theme is appropriate!
Anyway he is rising 8, 15.2hh Irish gelding- he is such a sweetheart, loaded brilliantly and settled in very well. He has not been fed much so got to slowly introduce him, he is tucking in to a haynet atm but worried as he is eating his straw bed =/ so will go back later to keep an eye on him...
Here's a few pictures
apologies for poor quality of some, they are video stills from this video
