Besides which, even if I'd picked her lovely dark sable sister these guys would stick out like a sore thumb in a show ring. Good job I have a pain in the arse of a show dog already. 😜 There's also no guarantees that any of the white will stay, or at least not to the extent it is now. I would be sad to see it all go but she is going to change colour a lot over the coming months. I was intrigued enough to want to find out!

Oh I hope she keeps it. It’s really special and different. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a marking on a GSD.
Of course, it would be like taking a working lab in a show ring, I didn’t think.

There’s a black splodge and ring 🙂 I don’t imagine she will finish as dark as mum, I’m expecting more like dad’s colouring. Plus or minus sock, but she will always be the sockpuppy!

First trip to club last night and this morning my arms are killing me, this was a lot easier last time with a 2kg puppy. 😳
 
I’m so sorry you lost 2 dogs so quickly. Puppies have a way of filling your heart back up, they’re such characters when they’re learning about the world. I love her markings, stuff show judges, how could they not fall in love with her?!

So sorry to hear you also lost two last year, that sucks, and cancer sucks. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

But nothing better to help with sorrow, as trying to keep up with preventing the new members of the household from demolishing your home as they're trying to figure out how their new world works.
 
An entitled little shit I jest, he's good fun. FCI consider them a miniaturised shepherd, DNA says they're a spitz, their historical function was more terrierlike than anything - watchdog, hunter of vermin. Intelligent, active, bustling, must have nose poked into all business at all times. Usually long lived and hardy, low maintenance spitz coat. This one does competitive agility as well as showing, there's an athletic wee dog under the coat pattern.
 
I'm sorry for your loss. Its been 8 months since I lost my boy and it is so tough, I can't imagine losing two close together. We got a new pup in Dec. Its been fun, games and Instances of OMG what have we done?

I'm looking forward to seeing your updates. The pup and sock are adorable- never seen that before.
