Men. Jodhpurs, Breeches etc

I jut bought a pair of USG breeches in chocolate brown with a cream full leather seat for £30! Bargain! Ok they aren't Pikeur quality but they look good and are fine for general wear. I have just ordered some Cavallo in a lighter brown with a dark brown full seat - Cavallo do every colour and you can custom order the seat in whatever colour too.

And these look good and not too expensive

My hubby has several pairs of men's riding trousers for everyday riding - I think it may be Equetech that do them. A bit more...... er...... discreet than jodhs!
 
My OH on the odd occasion that he will go for a walk round the woods will only wear jeans or track bottoms wont wear jods, I think many men can look quite dashing in proper riding gear.
 
Pinkvboots mine caused quite a stir amongst the ladies when he wore his riding gear to a fancy dress party. One lady asked whether he does the housework dressed like that and offered to pay him to do hers in boots and jodhs :eek:
 
I have to say we do have livery on our yard who wears very, very tight cord breeches and boots. Its not pleasant, but I guess its comfortable for him.

I am afraid I am reminded of a 1970s Caldene advert I saw somewhere with a man in very tight beige nylon jods. My horsey friends and I named him 'Caldene Man' and thats the name we use for men in ill fitting riding wear, particularly of the very tight variety.

Following on from Caldene Man, Mini TX, her friend and friends mum went to a BE training day going back about 3 or 4 years. At this venue one of the riders attending this course was a teenaged lad, whose breeches left nothing to the imagination. We couldnt stop giggling and we had a name for him, which I cannot repeat on this forum. Unfortunately we do see him at some BE venues and to be fair his taste in breeches has matured slighty, ie they fit properly, but this did make me giggle, thinking of him.
