They say dispite the heat it was the wetest July ever!! I,m in Dorset and the ground is parched and no green grass. Where are you and are they right?

That can't be right! Been bone dry here hasn't it, but even where there has been rain, it can't be as bad as it was last July when it was flooded everywhere??!!??

We've had a fair bit of rain (much needed), but nowhere near as much as 2007 and 2008 when it was a bog everywhere. Our fields are perfect, which is rare!!

I think we have had rain everyday since they out us on a hosepipe ban..which I think was also St Swithins (sp?) day..and at weekend I had mud in my gateway ,I'm Lancashire

Our forcast says it will rain a bit on Wednesday and lots on Friday, if it does it will be the first lot of rain we have had in weeks and weeks.
(barr 3 minor over night showers).

ETS it last rained on the 2nd July, and was dry 2 weeks prior to that.

We had no rain and the ground was rock hard.

We could not cut for haylage in June when the weather was hot as there was no thickness to the grass.

We have now had lots of rain and we are desperate to cut but no forecast for fine weather.

Sadly we have had nothing but rain for a good few weeks :( Yard and stables have been flooded out several times and fields are a boggy pathetic mess, im thinking I should have stayed down South

I'm in North Somerset: It rained here twice in July, for less than a day on each occasion. They are predicting rain tomorrow and Friday, I hope they are right.

Last time I cut the lawn was in May

July practically turned Bath into a dustbowl!

We had a few spits here and there last week and week before, only enough to make the dust stick to your flip-flops.

I too am in the NW and have muddy gate ways and am having to hose off horse when brought in.

If it doesn't rain in the day, it seems to put some down every night. Sometimes just a shower but we have had rain bouncing off the pavements and the drains not being able to cope.

Saying that, grass is good :)

Well I am in the NE of Scotland and we have had nothing but rain! Our fields are lush, the midge's are wild and we have yet to have a day when you would say it is HOT! This Summer has been pants up here.

im in the south east and we had very little rain . grass is brown nothing left , got to start feeding hay

Yep it's rained lots in W Yorkshire - so much so that we've not been able to get the haylage in yet as there's not been a dry enough spell to do so :(
