Microchipping....

My colt was microchipped three weeks ago...his documents for this were sent to Pet-ID should I be expecting anything back off them as proof of chipping or not??

Mine was done on 14th December and I got the "paperwork" a week ago.

Mine seemed to take forever to come through, it was years ago, not even sure where my paperwork for her microchip is as it was so basic! Had it done about 10yrs ago now.
Perhaps give them a call, but mine did take ages from what I recall

I haven't had anything back and my boy was done a year ago :-O

T was done a year ago, I never got any paper work and was just told to tell the breed society of it. And this was done by a big Newmarket practice.

That was my querie

as to wether you get anything back...He's registered with the BSHS and his microchip details have been sent with this so just presume his passport will come back with his microchip details.

Mine are chipped and we got confirmation back for two who were done together, but not had confirmation for the foal who was done when he got his passport - but number recorded in passport so I assume its all ok.

charliesarmy: Yes you should have something back soon, we normally try to get things back in about 4 weeks, if you haven't had anything back from us by the end of the week you can pm me his chip no. (you should have a copy of it) and i can chase it up for you.

If you tell the PIO who issued the passport they will inform the NED on their monthly uploads there is no need to pay Petlog extra to do that.
