Has anyone use micronised linseed for a good doer/laminitic prone?
I'm currently feeding tumeric, but my understanding is that it needs to be fed with an oil & black pepper to be absorbed properly. P is quite fussy about eating oil (I'm literally putting the smallest amount I can in, as I'm aware he doesn't really need the extra calories) and someone has recommended trying micronised linseed instead, as it will have a similiar effect to oil but most horses find it more palatable.
I'm only familiar with micronised linseed as a feed for encouraging conditions - something he definitely doesn't need! Has anyone fed a good doer/laminitic prone on linseed before?
Thanks
