Might be of interest if you have itchy cob with mallenders

OP - bute is a general anti-inflammatory so can be helpful if the legs have got inflamed from itching. I also use piriton regularly to try and break the cycle.

Neem oil is great (unless you have a horse who seems to be slightly allergic to it!), but I'm general regular oiling and feather maintenance is the answer. My draft is so much better if we can take his feathers off but sadly he fought sedation last time so it's a bit tricky.

There are a HUGE number of products on the market swearing they will cure mites / mallenders etc. If its mites then topical ivermectin is brilliant.

Personally I attack from all angles but still seem to be failing this year.

I had lovely chat with Karen about Pheobe itching/Mallenders problem and she was saying about millennial mite so, i have a plan to treat Pheobe hopefully will help as I've been down the natural chemical route spent a fortune on things that dont work or dry her skin out various rugs etc
So have a look at link below might help

I have used Ruggle It for a sweetitchy pony. Its a faff but it did work quite well and I really like the shampoo. it was one of the first neem based products afaik. I am an ectoparasitologist, I work with mites-I would be fascinated to learn what a millenial mite is? one born this century?

Happy to talk about Ruggle It and its inventor by PM.

Gosh, that's certainly some interesting web design! Interesting though, another one interested in hearing peoples experiences with it.
I'll be honest, that second part of my message was a bit of a lie, I'm not interested in the product because I'm jaded and assume it's another money grubbing attempt to solicit cash from people desperate to help their horses. I have between my lot, sweetitch, sarcoids, mallenders and arthritis so you can imagine the barrage of miracle cure products I get flung at me every day.

I just wanted to comment on the web design without seeming too narky ;)

Are you either Karen herself or working for her? I'm not disputing the product - neem oil (in fact any veg based oil) is well proven for mallenders. But Mallenders isn't caused by mites - and what is a millenial mite?
No I'm not karen and dont work for her I just think what she has to say is of interest!

I've tried googling millennial mites but can find any info
