Is it a ridden horse? A church opposite me in inner London has horse drawn carriages for funerals. Not only would there be the route they take, but they would have to box and unload the horses and carriage somewhere so there would be evidence of horses in places you wouldn't expect.

ive just looked at it on Googlemaps. its suburbia in the middle of a built up area. no fields or stables nearby. very strange that someone is bothering to ride a horse down there.
I can see a yard about a mile away. Wondering if they are going to the beach and have to stop at the post office to buy a stamp for a sea side postcard :):)

I actually live about 15 minutes drive away from the poo pile. Let’s just say, accepting that I may be opening a whole new can of poo here, that the town is known locally as Porterslahdah and is not generally considered to be one of the more desirable extensions of Brighton. Goodness only knows why anyone would take a horse along that street.

Now going into hiding 🤣

Love it !
I think we should arrange for a special H&H forum users sponsored ride around the area making sure we support the shop by buying lots of polos and carrots. We could do the ride in aid of the Chronically Constipated of Portslade. BTW doesnt anyone grow roses around there? Id have thought they would be delighted at piles of poo.

If Darren's fans are missing him they could do worse than search the illustrious pages of the Brighton and Hove Argus. There are some entertaining exchanges of correspondence.

"dung roamin" (Be very clear, your neighbouring districts want none of your dung.) ,

"horse mess" (While motor traffic dissipates droppings, this isn’t the case with pedestrians. *

"what can a horse do". (It's no worse than some people who drop their poop in shop alleyways when they have toilets to use than it is for a horse to drop its dung ...)

*(In the interests of health and safety, I should point out that i am not suggesting that traffic should dissipate pedestrians.)

ETA these are real user names and quotes, I haven't changed any of them to make them funnier - I didn't need to. None are from Darren, who always uses his full name and address, so it's not fair to link to those.

Why was the other thread shut?

It was shut because I asked FAT to stop a man from haranguing forum members about something they can do nothing about. It was his second thread on the same issue, he was being rude to forum members and had already been given good advice about better ways to sort out the issue.

I don't think we should be taking the piss out of it, though. It shouldn't be happening and it must be very annoying to the locals.

I doubt that will stop him returning.
He was told it was no one on here and also given the same advice last time and took no notice of it. Taking the piss may well be more effective.

Hope he hasn't been banned from the forum, his posts are such fun. I expect he's sat up in bed now, wearing striped PJ's buttoned up to the top button, after neatly laying his brown suit and yfronts ( not boxers)folded on a chair, with a fountain pen writing to the local rag about horse poo. Its so entertaining.

It's probably Gareth come back to haunt us. He will be asking us about boxer shorts before long 😉
