As title, what are they like to live with? Im seriously looking into getting one. We already have a hugarian viszla, but the house couldnt stand another of those. Any pros and cons of the breed?
It would prob be a smooth haired one, if i do get one.

Thanks

Small dogs BIG personality, in fact they don't really consider themselves dogs, we had a black and tan smooth haired mini when I was at secondary school he was a devil but the whole family still talks about his escapades, Picasso had a daschund called lump I bought my mum a book about him for Christmas, sounds like lump was a big character too.

I haven't but a friend of mine has and as the others say ... tiny dog with a huge, bubbly, bossy, mouthy character! Not in a bad way!! Tamara is in charge of all of her dogs (5 labs and 2 springers!!)

Very loving and gets up to all sorts. I love her she never fails to make me smile!!

Two of our trainers keep them, weirdly, GSDs, Malis and...dachsies - and as mentioned, they rule the roost!!!

Just be wary of back issues, make sure you buy from breeders who carry out health tests on their breeding stock.

Had to house-sit for a relative she has one. Mini wire haired. Very energetic and nobody told him he isn't a GSD!!:D He started squaring up to the geese and when they started back he hid behind my legs. And he can run to the back door faster than I can.

My experience is they can be very 'pick me pick me' and yappy but he is a rescue so don't know how much is breed typical and how much is being shoved from pillar to post. But lovely attitude to life.
