I've been looking into these vitamunch that hang in a tiny hay net in the stable and provide a healthy and nutritious treat.

These haynets are the cutest little things ever! I've hung his himalayan salt lick in one already (as it had smashed and couldn't hang on the rope - perfect solution!) and I wanted to find more things to put inside the mini net!

The only problem is he seems to dislike 'Timothy' haylage and these are made from the same grass. I worry he wouldn't want to eat them and it'd be a waste.

Do you have any recommendations for a similar thing - extra vitamins and calories are not a problem.

Sorry, no recommendation but my horse can't seem to eat the actual thing, she gets frustrated and picks the net up between her teeth and throws it against the stable wall until bits fall of it and then she eats it off the floor. The holes in the net do seem rather small!

The Vitamunch blocks are not too tightly packed. When I have used the nets with the tighter packed longer lasting high fibre blocks that mine have such as the Equiblox or Halleys ones they find it harder to eat them through the net so rip the nets

Mine both love the vita munch blocks - pony eats them in minutes in the net. Old girl gets frustrated after a while and gives up, so end up putting hers on the floor.
They do seem quiet loosely packed.
Don't know what else you could try in the small nets though :)

The nets are so cute!! I really want a reason to buy a couple so will be following this :biggrin3:

Haha yes this is exactly what I thought when I saw them! :D Thanks guys think I might try all of the ones you normally put in - halleys, vitamunch and equiblox and hope that he'll eat at least one of them!:)

I bought one each of these for our horses and one of them ate the net?!!!! Mind you he eats everything! Whole lickits in minutes anything left in his stable overnight....!!
