oh how upsetting ....we lost a dog last year ...animals can be closer than some family....remember you gave him a happy time and gave him love and he repaid you with his lovex lots of hugs x
 
What a moving tribute to Monty you have made. It sums up your love for him wonderfully and what more could he ask for. You have saved him and eventually let him go with dignity and love.

Hold your memories close and give Zoom an extra big cuddle tomorrow.
I hope Monty has met my mare Ellie and her friend Star, they will certainly look after him.

I'm so so sorry for your heartache and losing your lovely boy. You did the best by him and he ended his days being well and truly loved and looked after.

It's amazing that in the photos taken yesterday, although he was obviously very poorly he still looks happy to be with you and zoom. He obviously loved you every bit as much as you loved him, you were lucky to have found each other.

Just seen your post now, I am so so very sorry, I don't know what else to say, if only there were more people out there like you that can give a horse a second chance, care, love and a peacefully happy ending before they retire.

I'm sure Monty is looking down and is very proud of having an owner like you.

So so sorry for your loss but at the same time really pleased for Monty that his last few years were probably the best of his life. You gave him a gift far greater than a nice home - you gave him love. Anyone reading your posts could see how much you loved that boy and he was very lucky to have found you.
Sleep tight grumpy old man - you and your mum will be together again someday.
