Monumental moments of 2012

Many monumental moments this year...

Ebony a head carriage dropping by about a foot post massage!
Seeing the xc at the Olympics, Mary king! The jumps the other competitiors, the fab atmosphere.
Backing Ben and sitting on him for the first ride
First canter on Ben
Moving to the best yard I've ever been in and having a very much needed fresh start!

Finding out my whippet had a lump, then that she had cancer, then that its hopefully curable.


But the most soul destroying monumental moment...

Saying goodbye to my beautiful ebs....


I will never forget 2012, but never for a good reason... Good riddance, the start of the year I was filled with more hope than I knew what to do with... It's been the worst year I've ever known.:(
 
Qualified the orange pony for blue chip again which was lovely.

Got my 4 year old going under saddle in the summer the best I could with no facilities. Then came back into work a few weeks ago and jumped his first show on sunday and came 2nd in british novice! He had only been jumping properly under saddle for two weeks :D

Had so much fun with the boy this year, mainly hacking though and feeling like a pony mad kid again!

Herehere. That photo has me in floods of tears :(

Anyway... It has to be sitting on my beautiful pony for the first time. He is my world and I honestly love him to the moon and back.

I remember reading your thread about it at the time, but didn't see the pictures, whoever had him on loan and let him get like that should be ashamed of themselves. :mad:
 
Wow had some fab moments this year... April went to my first showjumping comp and rossette for clear round!! July first dressage and got 55%!!!! Sept took my horse cross country schooling and loved it!!!! This is all from nervous rider!! Plus my horse has seriously muscled up this year and looks amazing!!! :-)

It's awful isn't it? Can't help but blame myself though I should have checked up on him more often. So sorry to hear about your loss though, next year will be better :)

I think the worse thing is a week before this picture was taken he was taken to a 3DE!! I don't understand why no one stopped her and said your horse is too thin to compete? Drives me mad, but he is safe and happy now and we have a lot planned for 2013. :)

I actually looked at that pic and it broke my heart, couldn't get my girl back to good obv, but because she was ill... If you ever need someone with a baseball bat.... God just looking at that, knowing that its of a horse that but for neglect should otherwise have looked healthy :( really feel for you koko, it must have broken you when you first saw him like that xxx here's to a fab new year to you and your boy x

Lovely horse :) Im not normally a coloured fan but she looks nicely put together & well marked :D.....fab lorry too...exciting times ahead ;)

Thank you :) She is a sweetie :D Unfortunately it's not all been plain sailing with her but I am hopeful that eventually we will work together and have lots of fun times :D

Amazing. He must be a good boy to have got her round, with him not having much in the tank. Some people are unbelievable :mad: You've got him looking fab though, so here's hoping 2013 is better for you both :D

I like the white mark on her backend- never seen one like that :)
