hi all
this is going to be tricky with HHO's rules on how much posts... but i genuinely don't know how much to ask for Katie my lorry.
i said on here the other day i was going to have to sell her as i needed a 4x4 for work... and i have had a couple of people ask about her.
i've told them a price, but then looked on horsemart as was going to put an ad on, and lorries for the price i'm asking aren't as nice as mine... but then again, i am VERY biased...
obviously i want to make a fair amount of money for her (as it will have to buy me a trailer and half a 4x4)... but, at the same time, i can't stand the hassle of advertising/selling things (especially as my heart really isn't in it with her, as i am not convinced it's the right thing to do...).
so... HHO might take this down... but this is a genuine how much... so please don't report me (i've already been in trouble last month for using a word that started with F and ended with ECK)
here's the ad gumpf.
in the ad details it will say that she is k reg (1993?), and has only done 9k miles (been horse lorry from new).
oh, and that she's a renault, with 4litre perkins diesel engine.
here's the gumpf. i reckon i'll be breaking the HHO rules less if i don't put a price on, so instead i'd appreciate ideas of price - also, is the advert okay?
* no sensible offer refused * will consider a trailer as part ex*
2 horse/ 3 pony
Extremely sad sale of my beloved lorry (called Katie).
Ideal ladies box as compact, easy to drive and super easy ramp (even i can do it and i'm a wimp!)
7.5t (uprated from 5t so she has the size of a 5t but has brakes/suspension etc of a 7.5t). This means she can carry about 3tonnes of horse!
Always been a horsebox so exceptionally low mileage.
Solid floor, solid ramp with excellent springs which make it very easy to put up/down.
Lovely little living area, with gas hob, sink, table and bed area in the luton.
Walk through cab so you can get through to the horses in case of an emergency etc.
Horse area is rubber matted (not glued down so you can check floor underneath), and has 2 padded telescopic partitions that can be moved wherever you want them. so you can stall it however you like. 3 ponies will fit in, or 2 horses.
Handy little tack lockers externally on the side. There are 2 saddle racks on the lorry itself.
Battery isolator switch for security.
2 months plating, but only done about 500 miles since the last one - which she flew through.
Katie has never ever let us down. She's reliable, starts first time, every time. Even whilst covered in snow. She isn't the fastest lorry in the world, but will happyily chug along at a perfectly respectable speed.
She is the sort of lorry that makes you smile.
She is for sale as i have to get a 4x4 for my work, and it doesn't make sense to have a lorry and a 4x4. Also, my horse broke his leg 9 weeks ago, and so won't be up to proper competing until next year anyway... so, we have come to the sad decision to sell Katie. Even my completely non-sentimental husband is upset by this, as we never thought we'd find such a neat little reliable lorry.
We will consider offers, and also would consider having a trailer as part ex if you're upgrading to a lorry from a trailer.
i don't have any new photos (it's been raining all day...) but here's one of her in the winter, looking grubby. i will (of course) polish her up and take photos of inside and out...
price?
ad okay?
