OOh where to start suddenly moving time is upon me!!
I have spent the last week at current yard moving stuff home (cant expect to dump everything at new place). So all that is left is horse,Rug, Grooming kit, feedbuckets and Trailer.
I have slowly dug out his banks and removed as much yuk bed as I can so there will be minimal tomorrow.
I have given up the battle to get him to eat hay instead of haylage as I dont want him stressed and starving so I am using a cement mixer (ok wheelbarrow and hands) to mix up a small amount of haylage with his hay damp the lot down to confuse him and stuff it in his haynet.
Made new bed up and yesterday dragged OH to yard to examine broken stable mirror at new yard. Its like mirror finish mdf really and atrociously put up by previous livery. YO husband said did we want him to take it down and was well impressed by OH dexterity with tape measure and screwdriver. Anyhow it is now removed and OH has recut redrilled and fixed back up properly with screws that have plastic cap thingys on them it looks well posh.
We dont actually need a mirror but it relects a lot of light from the roof light back into stable.
Was introduced to my turnout paddock and when we went back today I decided to walk the fenceline to doublecheck everything.
I was so excited at the bottom of my paddock is a fence and on the other side is a duck pond - I love ducks and if nothing else they will give big lump something to look at extra.
I noticed a bit of very baggy electric fencing where previous livery must have used bottom corner of paddock as a gateway. YO was not around today so I phoned and left a message mentioning it OH was going to look at it tomorrow.
Got a text message saying 'Thanks for letting me know fence fixed'.
So I texted back 'you're spoiling me' and the response I got was 'Thats what we are here for you ask and we do!!'
