Mud control mats

For anyone planning ahead, Mud (remember what that is?!) Control mats are available at show prices, although the saving is rather tiny @ £1 per sq metre.

mine need to be in somerset not cambridgeshire, but given that we got hay baled today at least they aren't required right now, I just don't have the biggest of gardens.

Ester, can you incorporate your mats into a garden feature of some sort ? Or a piggie assault course?

So far they have been laptop table for exercise classes, and adjustable height chair for said classes.

Have you tried putting sand or wood pellet bedding or even soil on top, or old grass mats if you have any lying around? All of these have worked for other horses who were very suspicious initially.

My cob uses his (just outside his shelter, at the bottom of a steepish sweeping bank) as a braking area for the CHAAAARGE down the hill at teatime (I need a rollseyes emoji)
