I just drove through Godalming and saw all the signs for this w/ends horse trials and I got all excited - not for me as i'm not competing but for all you guys who are.

I'm going on Sunday to drop some saddles back to my saddler so may see some of you!!!

If you are interested, the weather here is currently over cast with drizzle. after this weeks hard / frosty ground, it's all gone a bit sticky on the surface.

i keep telling you my first event is on 21st april!!! need to get this dressage lark sorted and going xc schooling with buckinghorse on good friday and easter monday - actually hope to school munstead then!!!
 
she was lovely!! i dont care if the judges decide they didnt like her (dont know our mark yet) but she was fab

warmed up and i felt like i was sitting on an unexploded bomb - she obviously thought it was XC time!! though she did contain herself just about after doing LOADs of walk to canter/ canter to walk transitions on a serpentine (she was terribly bored by the intro test

Did a very passable test for her first one this year on grass with the odd wiggle here and there but i expected that

Oh well done. She sounds like she shouldn't have got a very good mark!

Eventing diva - the ground was rutted but not hard at all and with a horse's weight on it it will be soft and bouncy - if you ride the track that has been prepared it is lovely

i walked the sj and xc course this evening, both nice! i thought the ground was brilliant, theres just one line i've planned to avoid, coming upto the water its just a bit deep.

well my XC is at 10.51am so i will be done by 11am (but only just) and if she goes well will want to stay for the results any way so i will try and come and say hi
