So sorry to read your news thinking of you both.
Atleast you loved and cared for her to the end i'm shore she will never forget you till you meet again.
oh i am so so sorry to have to read this sad post and I will be thinking of you both tomorrow...you are doing the kindest and bravest thing for your little girl and she would thank you for it too i'm sure, what a wonderful 14mths she has had with you and for you to be so kind and thoughtful to her needs.
Big hugs (((((((())))))))) just been through this myself, it's bloody hard but you will feel better once today is over and you know your beloved pony is free from pain.
Take care xx
I was sorry to read your post. A brave decision and the right one IMHO. One of my firends had the most stunning warmblood, only 5, he had to be put down as his increasing extravagant hindleg movement turned out to be due to a form of wobblers syndrome so he was losing sensation in his hindlegs. towards the end he had to look at his legs to check where they were. really really sad and just one of those awful things.
So so sorry to hear this. Hugs for you, you're being extremely brave and strong for your girl, even though you may not feel like it now. I'll be thinking of you
(((hugs))) for today. The hardest decision but the bravest.
So sorry it has come to this.
She will be free from pain and has known nothing but love from you - so a good end to such a short life.
Run sound and free little Tocha.
I went through the same a couple of years ago, with my wonderful amazing horse who i loved more than life.
It was a final act of kindness - i was with her when she took her last breath. I wouldnt have wanted it any other way. God it hurt. I cant tell you how much. However, it was a small comfort knowing that i had helped take away her pain. I will miss her every day of my life.
You don't have to be THAT strong - youre human after all. Just be sure that you are the one that is with her at the end, and tell her everything you want her to know.
And have lots of tissues and people around you who love you.
I have such massive respect for people that know when its time to say goodbye. Youre an absolute superstar for putting your own feelings below that of your beloved pony's.
