We can't get her comfortable and I can't keep seeing her in pain

I know I'm doing the right thing but it hurts so much. She owes me nothing, she's done so much for me. I couldn't have found a better pony. Since the day I met her, when she fell asleep with her head on my lap, she's given me a reason to get on with life after my accident, to leave the house on the days when I'm fed up or p*ssed off with the world.

She's had a good 14 months with me. She's had fun, she's been out and seen a bit of life, she's been happy, and she's had lots of love.
I'm going to miss her tantrums, her cheekiness, her larger than life personality; the faces she pulls when you scratch her, the hours we've spent grooming each other.

I keep getting told how brave I'm being but I don't feel very brave at the minute

I was so sorry to hear this news I know how much you have been through and have done absolutely everything you could and then some.

She definitely has a huge personality in a little body and she is being taken too early, only aged 2.

I hope you have some lovely memories from these last few days together. Huge hugs for tomorrow you can always reach me if you want to.

I'm so so sorry to hear this, she is an absolutely beautiful girl and sounds like a wonderful character to have around. You have done a wonderful job with her, you should be so proud of both of you. Sending you lots of hugs, and vibes to give you strength tomorrow. And you are brave, you're doing the bravest thing xx

bigs hugs for you. You are brave , you're making the final decision for your beloved beastie which you know is the right one. That takes great courage & strength. To know when the time is right & take action. Think of all the times she made you smile & all the times she made you cross & enjoy your memories of her. You will give her the peace she deserves & she will always love you. xxx

Dearest Brightsyde you are so very brave but most of all considerate to your lovely girl Tocha. I can not imagine what you must be going through but I'm sending you lots of love & hugs xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you everyone.
tasteofchaos - lots! She has osteoarthritis in both hocks, soft tissue damage to her stifles as a result of the hock damage, and an undiagnosed forelimb lameness that is most likely shoulder related.
The most recent vet to see her thinks her shoulder sockets are very shallow (I'm trying to source xrays of other mini's shoulders to compare but not getting very far!) and that the small tarsal bones in her hocks are slightly deformed, in his opinion he thinks that she may have been a premature foal, and that her hocks were not fully formed before weightbearing.
She's 2 1/2, and has gone downhill quite rapidly in the space of 8/9 weeks, with one problem after another
