My Cat is currently in labour and so far has one kitten, this is her first litter (yep i feel bad as she should have been spayed will be getting her done as soon as shes ready.
Kitten born around 25mins ago and shes cleaned it all and its now dry and fluffy and mum cat is feeding her.
Mum cat still looks to be a bit unsettles and still keeps licking herself, do you think she will have anymore? how long between each kitten?
Thanks

It took my cat a little while to have hers, I think she started at about 4am and finished at 7am, she had 3.

Thanks thats reassuring to know :)
Shes currently looking very tired and purring alot, kitten is doing well and feeding :)

I have been keeping an eye on her without intervening and there seems to be more movement inside - i can see something moving inside of her. The first is quite big and its a tortoishell like her mum :) only less white and looks as though it has the bengal tail! (mum 1/2 bengal)

Litters can range from one to 6 kittens, but can be up to 10 ,but beware sometimes one dies out of the litter , but it may not . keep an eye on her and only help her if she needs it

Shes doing really well with them, cleaning them up and there all feeding well :)
Its amazing how they know what to do!

Shes resting again now, i dont think shes quite finished though yet..........
Kittens are beautiful colours, the black and white has a ginger face now its dry!

Here are the three she has had so far :)

Keep checking her 'size' to make sure there are no more kittens inside her, we had one cat who had a bad habit of having a few and then not bothering to deliver the rest!! Needed a jab of oxctosyn (sp!) to 'kick start' her again!! Finally make sure kittens are kept very warm (we use hot water bottles wrapped in towels) for them to sleep on if they are outside or keep the heating on in their room!! They look beautiful!!

Thank you for that puzzled, when they where feeding before she wasnt covering them and they seemed cold, so i have put them all (with mum) on a fleece blanket and just checked them again (after 20 mins) there all toasty now.
How do i know if she has anymore inside? she sees more relaxed now and is resting?

I do think she has finished now, just moved them into their box with mum, hmmm she decided to give birth under my daughters bed!!! put some food out for her and water, she has had a drink and eat all her food, then she went straight back in the box with them and is now snoozing again whilst nursing the babies :)

Ohh they look so cute! :D Well done to mother cat!

Where abouts are you cobface? I'm looking to adopt two cats/kittens at the end of august/beginning of september! :D
