My horse Trailer parked outside my house

No to be fair he isnt a perv, and normally we got on fine for years, not sure whats going on with him.

Perhaps he's dealing with coronavirus stress/ meltdown and directing the angst towards you. A trailer in front of the window sounds like a perfect target to obsess about.

Its cool of you not to bring it back just to wind him up (though I'd be tempted too).

Unless it's attached to your vehicle, if it's parked on the highway, it is parked illegally as it cannot be moved without being hitched up and therefore represents an obstruction. Same for a caravan.

Not according to this, wheel clamp on and has a parking brake, very well lit road, so no visibility problems, also I am not causing any obstruction, in fact my trailer is a lot less of an obstruction than a lot of other much larger vehicles parked along the same stretch of road, in fact 20 seconds along there is a very large Double Glazing van parked on the road, and the people opposite park their Nissan Cashcow almost opposite, no way a Fire Engine could get through, my trailer may slow the traffic down a bit, which isn't a bad thing due to the speed some pass.

We used to be a "Close", and we were at the end, so we have what was a larger turning area, so Mr Misery opposite has more room than anyone, as his drive comes off the larger area, but a lot of years ago they opened up the end of our close and built a massive housing estate, so now we are a rat run, and some vehicles go past at ridiculous speeds, there was a sign saying "Slow Down Children" but after a lot of years if went and has never been replaced, this isn't about obstruction, as there is plenty of room.

If you'd read my second post, I've already said I was mistaken.

looking out my lounge window I don't want to see his two pick ups directly opposite, or the plant equipment he sometimes brings home, or hear him working on them, my OH doesn't like seeing next doors large Motorhome from our lounge window either, but then we don't go whining to them about it,

Neighbours are so weird sometimes. The houses on my road have a covenant to stop vans being parked on the driveways. One of my neighbors tried to enforce the covenant because I parked my horsebox on my driveway. So I parked it legally on the road in front of his house instead where it could stay to my heart's content.

The link you quoted says its probably ok from a police point of view if its lit up, but then says the council can and will take action. Its your council you need to speak to. He can park his cars if he want, but a trailer is a totally different thing in the eyes of the council etc.

I had the opposite experience today. Due to everyone and his wife being out at the beach today, I pulled up with much trepidation on a side road in front of someone's house. I thought about knocking on the door to apologise/ask permission to leave it for an hour and promise to tidy up any mess, but decided because of the COVID nonsense and social distance, I would be unwelcome on her doorstep. However, the lady came out and asked if we had come far, remarked how lovely the horses were and wished us a lovely ride! There was a mess made so we popped the 'mess' under a shrub in her garden - don't worry, I said we would be tidying anything up and she told us to do that!

I often have a large tractor and slurry tanker or silage wagon parked outside my house when son #2 can't fit it on the drive. Opposite neighbour sometimes brings her fire truck home and leaves it outside my kitchen window, and the one nearly opposite brings his mobile tyre fitting van back most nights. Fire lady was very handy when next door's chimney caught fire, and tyre man was in the right place when the tractor had a puncture.

But did you have the trailer lights on at night, as legally required? You could get into hot water if someone crashed into your parked unlit trailer, even if it was entirely the other driver‘s fault.

I had my horsebox parked in our driveway in London and a number of houses along the street signed a petition stating that it reduced the value of their properties and must be removed! The council became involved and said it was a privately registered vehicle and I was perfectly entitled to park it on my driveway!

By parking your trailer on a road you will be causing an obstruction, Additionally as someone else has mentioned if you park the trailer on your drive may be against planning regulations. In the deeds of your house it may state that the parking of caravans etc on your driveway is prohibited, I know my deeds say thaT.
