My naughty horses had recently taken to trashing the electric fencing that runs between them - presumably they weren't getting enough of a zap from the temporary fencing, which I set up to connect to the permanent boundary fencing, which runs off the mains.
We left a note for my YO on sunday afternoon telling him the electric fencing wasn't doing the job.
Later on Sunday afternoon he phones to ask what the problem is.
Monday morning he phones to ask if I can bring them in the following day.
Tuesday horses are in for the grand total of 5 hours (my oldie hates being in) and the entire field is re-fenced with 3 strands of thick new tape, all new clips on the huge 6ft fence posts (especially high to keep my cribber off them). The posts are also all checked and banged into the ground a bit more, plus the broken one replaced
Result - today the cheeky beggers were where they were supposed to be!
Given all the posts on here grumbling about yards I just wanted to say how very thrilled I am with mine
Especially as it's not a proper livery, just a kind farmer
