me and mum were accepted to adopt one of the amersham horses last year and he had his final rspca visit yesterday so hes officially ours now. all went well despite him being a little chubby but going by where he came from i think he can be forgiven for being a greedy pig
hes a little horror he bosses the other 5 horses about despite being the youngest, he clambered over the stable door 3 times before we gave him a bigger one, he kicked out every bottom rail around our paddock, he managed to get from one side of the trailer to the other and face backwards when we picked him up (he was cross tied), he keeps pulling his front shoes off on the gate, he terrorises our shetland, insists on dropping most of his hay over the stable door and refuses to lunge he just plods in protest!! but desite his quirks hes just simply amazing. He'll go anywhere, seems to fear nothing which is good when you have to hack on a busy main road,do anything (but lunge), is fine with everyone and doesnt have a nasty bone in his body which considering his horrific start to life is bizarre, im suprised he, or any of the rescued horses want anything to do with people! sorry if ive gone on but im so pleased we've got him and had to share. Hes happy as "larry", a name well suited
