My old boy is a real pain to inject & even though Vet is more than happy for me to do them i need 2 people as he is a nightmare & we can't have him spinning around atm.

So Vet said he would pop in free of charge to do them

. Great he really is a fantastic Vet, lovely manner to animal & human & so so knowledgable a real find of a Vet who im keeping.

I asked him to have a look at my Comp horse this morning as he had suddenly started with puffy legs, Vet was here & it just put my mind at rest that it was nothing sinister. We both think it's the Hay as ive had to swap suppliers & have gone from Meadow hay to Ryegrass type.

Anyway while examining my Comp horse i was saying how im starting training with a German GP rider & have to pay him in Euro's.
Next minute vet comes back from his Car & give's me a note a 20 Euro's note

& says here put this towards your lessons.

My vet is super too. We are lucky arn't we.
Mine never charges a call out fee and fits me around his appointments. He is thinking of going to work in the ME, I really hope he doesn't, then I would have to pay him each time he came!!! Wow the call out fee will be enormous!
Glad competition horse is OK.

I got very badly treated by my last Vets they basically cocked up big time & killed one of my dogs, was one of the most traumatic things ive ever been through.
As you can imagine because of this i lost trust in all Vets.

Ive been with New Vets over a year & have spent a fortune thanks to Comp horse having Ulcers. But my Vet really does genuinely care about the animals & is so happy to talk about things & hasnt ever spoke down to me (as some do), it's like a breath of fresh air.

Giving me the 20 Euro's floored me tbh, very kind of him even if he didnt need it.

How lovely!!

My newest vet is so sweet with my veteran. He is really understanding and hasnt tried to be all, "well, he's 32 so maybe just put him down" like other vets have.
He's also only charging for one set of his latest injections instead of all 5 and has mentioned about the placements that will be coming up at the base in the future.
He is SO cute too! I bet he's only 25 lol!!

Dressagecrazy - please pm me your vets - your back lady recomendation was great and i am with one of the big clinics and not exactly happy with the constant change of vet !
