Enjoy yourself, that is the best advise I can give. The futurity team are very helpful and understanding, they will guide you through the process, which is very straight forward and simple.

So just enjoy :)

Thankyou!! im Just bricking it about how my foal will behave :P
What do we have to do with him? will we have to turn him loose so they can see his movement?? Because theres not a hope in hell he'll follow his mum :P

I will be there - I am writing for the vet so say Hi to me!!

I took Rocky at 8 weeks to Arena UK and like you I was terrified, Holiday (on here) was brill or I would have backed out!

At home Rocky runs anywhere but where I want him but in a strange place he was great and stayed with his dam.

Don't worry though as it really doesn't matter what they do and the judges are good at letting you have another try to show their paces.

Relax and enjoy and see you tomorrow :D:D

We are there in the afternoon with a two year old filly. First time out so wish us luck.

See you with the vet at 16.18, no 55

How did you all get on?

i was wanting to go and watch but ended up having a busy day - went to get the beast from the stud.... to then be talked into swapping stallions by the stud owner and my mum! By the time i took the box back to the yard, gave my twins lunch etc i couldnt be bothered going back out until i went to the yard.

Hope my girly is being a good girl Toast? i said a quick hi to her on tuesday and couldnt believe how wooly she was going, if she starts to get too wooly you'll have to let me know and i'll bring a LW down for her.

Overall very pleased.

Took my two year old in the show jumping catagory. 7.93 score was not the best on the day but she did not show herself as she does at home !! Very interested in what was going on in the stands instead of really striding out. her first time on a truck and first show so I was very happy with the way she handled the day

Very pleased with the vets remarks no problems there, all comments were in the good.

Looking forward to going back next year to show her down the jumping lane.

Richmond next Tuesday with a foal and two yearlings.

I had a great day!!

Learnt loads from the vet and it was lovely to see so many lovely young horses.

I didn't see, until today, that Toast + Aredis had put their numbers on or I would have said Hi... I was the old lady in black with a clipboard :D:D:D (not the baileys rep!)

We were there with 2 Our black yearling colt got 1st premium 8.07 and a 2 year old filly gained 2nd premium with 7.89. Both in eventing quite exciting as they are both out of our own stallion. It was quite funny as the vet and baileys rep thought the colt was a 2 or 3 year old. Holly 831 I did not realise it was you with the vet and well done as you must have had a long day.

LOL - I had a chat with the gentleman that was with you though while you were running up for the vet!!

Do yours have the 'Rachan' pre fix? If so he was explaining your 2 year olds name...I think something to do with wonderful firstborn? and I thought it was really lovely to have a name that meant something!!

Both lovely youngsters and I too thought your yearling was at least a two year old - looked very impressive :D

Hi

Yes were did have the Rachan Prefix. Are you going to Richmond as we are going to that one as well and I would say hello this time. That was my OH who is completely byast about the colt. Had a lovely day thought and met lots of lovely people.

Sadly no - although I will be next year!

I can't take anymore time off work - Note to me **'sell up and just play with the horses'**.....might try and go in the afternoon to watch though :D

How many are you taking to Richmond? You must do some serious travelling as it took me 2 hours to get to Myerscough and Richmond is another hour up north from me!!

Good Luck xx

We are taking 2 mares and foals as long as they load. Maybe see you next year. Yes we normally travel 2 to 3 hours to compete anywhere. Only 50 mins from the M6 so not too bad.

Luckilotti - Your mare is being a good girl :) She ovulated today so heres hoping for a positive result on her 16 day!

My youngster got himself a 2nd premium and a score of 7.89 which i was a little disappointed with as he wasnt really showing himself very well and must have done something to himself in the wagon as he went in slightly unlevel infront. This wasnt picked up in the vetting but was in the evaluation, I was devastated. But hopefully we'll do a little better next year. Wasnt so keen on the comments from the baileys lady though, 'a little croup high and could do with more muscle infront' well.. of course hes croup high hes 4 months old.. and he'll muscle up when he gets older. pfft. That was the same woman who told me my perfectly sound, straight 2yo was verging on crippled with ocd. I was that paranoid i had the vet out to him for no reason.

Oh what a shame i don't come on this forum more, I would have loved to meet up with some of you.

We were with a 2012 filly called Sugar house First edition, got a high first premium and a 9 vet score. she didn't show herself off to her best but still very pleased

Good luck to those of you attending future futurity shows :-)
