NAF EnerG

Was just going to put up a similar post!!:)

I'm also thinking of using it so I would love any opinions too! Using oats at the moment as an extra boost of energy for my 17.1h eventer.

Is NAF EnerG better than using oats in the feed?!

my lad hates the taste of the liquid - it smells rank tbh, so don't blame him.

For anything requiring lots of zing, i give him one the the syringes and have found them brilliant. :)

I've used it before with great success. Took my ish from sluggish (who was on oats) to super responsive. Pretty much within a week, it stinks tho and I struggled to get him a eat it!
It's got iron in it from what I remember (may be wrong?) I got it him as I'd just got him from Ireland and he was a bit poor and looked a bit anaemic so I think this is why it worked.

Does it give them forward responsive energy? Or bronking energy? My pony used to bronk a lot but hasn't done for a long while - just don't want him to go back to his naughty 5yo stage again!

I wanted to use one of the pastes at the weekend for an added bit of energy at a particularly hard competition but was put off by the fact it said feed 1.5 to 2 hrs before on an empty stomach. What happens if it isn't fed on an empty stomach, is it just less effective or can it have a negative effect? Also can they eat immediately after it has been fed?

Tried it for a couple of months can't say it really work plus had trouble with my mare not wanting to eat it....... And she would eat the doormat if you would let her ;)
