Name that PUPPY! again...

probably more appropriate! Although there will be good irony in a dog called 'sloe' when its looning round at million miles an hour leaving death and destruction in its path! :D :D

Oh please please call her Sloe, just think of yelling that across a field to a hooning spangle :D ROFL

Sloe's good: one syllable, handy for shouting as necessary. All of ours were named for ease with one syllable and three ending in a hard consonant for effect, Brigggggg, Zakkkkk, Jakekkkkkkkkk-endless and effective!

Out of your list I like Freya and Tilly, knew a beautiful GSD called Freya and quite a few dogs (including spangles) called Tilly.
I also like Berry, and totally randomly have always liked the name Pepper.

I like Conker ... it's quirky :D.

ETA: also, then when she is naughty you can call her "Conker the Plonker" which, given her spangleness will be quite often ... :D.

Conker's a dog's name not a bitches lol - my Auntie's GWP is called Conker and he's a plonker lol.

We had a Tilly.

I'd go for something different and something that relates to the breed, my next Jack Russell is going to be called Risk - which I think's very appropriate for a JR :p

I can't think of any though sorry, brain block :D

I've always wanted two dogs called Hectic and Havoc :p

C_C,

they sound rather like the names given to hounds!! Lovely, just the same!!

S_A,

ALL work dogs should be given a single syllable name, and one that they wont be likely to mistake for a command. When you have five dogs, all walking dutifully to heal, and you have one dog called Teal, and another called Seal, then someones going to get a rocket, but then both names sound like "Heal", too confusing, I think!!

Alec.

We had a Sweeny and a Regan back in the day :p

See your point, having a dog, both syllables of his name rhyme with 'no' so I either never use it or use it in a completely different way, pitch, tone. Trained a dog called Bo who's head was up her jacksie for the same reason, wouldn't recall, I wonder why!!!

Tell me about it! Currently have the following ...

Fern
Jake
Ellie
Jay
Willow
Daisy
Lucy ... all spaniels

Kensa
Maisey ... Labs

ALL working dogs!!

The only voice commands i really use are 'Side' 'wait' 'go back' everything else it done on whistle or hand signals!

Although occasionally i will use 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' but i don't think anything rhymes with that anyway!!!:D

We've had a Mork and Mindy and a Bodie and Doyle! Do you remember the winning GSD bitch R Havoc CC?

Eta. Stupid question, of course you'll remember her :)

Isn't she a result of a Jake and Daisey liason? :D Think you referred to her as a Jaisey baby?

I really like Jaisey as a name - Jai for short :)

She is indeed a Jay-Z baby! Although ... we already have a Jay or Jai .... quiet annoying as it would be very fitting!

Although my pup and Jay will never be worked together so it may work ... !!

We rehomed our springer so she was already named Bailey but I've often thought what names would suit her, we came up with Hazel because she's liver and white, her eyes are Hazel.

We also liked Fern

I like Belana - you know the cling on from star trek, the way her ears and hair are look like a cling on ha ha, hubby didn't like that one !

I call her pup pup for some reason, she likes it

I had a hamster once that was black and white, I called him humbug, wouldnt' be a practical dog name though :-)

Not much help am I, will have a think

Riker has been vetoed by him indoors on the basis that one Star Trek dog is bad enough, two is just an embarassment.

'Chinook' is apparently also too military. I can't win.

That was my argument but actually I just think it sounds cool because of the helicopter association and it's also vaguely in the sled dog tradition what with all the Nanooks and so on. :p

How about Sweeney Sweetly Sassy Shy (love this one) Sasha Sharna

As you may tell I like the letter S lol

My lot are called

Satine Samsam Solli Sally Lil V Thunder Rosie (horses) Scooter smudge Sausage Tiddles (cats) Silk Suki (Dogs) The ones without a s named where named but other people :D
