My friends mum works at a major supermarket, will let you lot guess which one!
Anyway cos of the horse meat scandal they have been told that they are not to wear their badges if they have a picture of a horse on them and they need to choose a new picture. They are concerned that staff maybe uncomfortable when dealing with customers if wearing a badge baring a horse! My friends mum said she wants to keep wearing her badge and is not uncomfortable, and managers not said anything yet. The notice was in a memo.

what badges? didnt even know they had badges with horses and stuff on :S i dont think it should be so much staff dealing with customers but customers reading into the picture too much and think they are taking the pee out of a situation which has upset some people...

The badges have the name, job title and year the staff member started and they can choose from a selection of pictures to go on there too. Pictures are of all sorts cat, dog, football etc. They can also have a glass of wine or beer on them, but only if member of staff is over 18!

I think the fact that no one notices the badges is why she thinks the store is creating an necessary fuss.
