We are getting a new cob and we are looking for names. He is 4 and he is skewbald, and is an irish sports horse. I would upload some pictures but they are on the other computer ;) he is coming over from ireleand and we want to keep his name irish, but we like other names too.
Any suggestions? :) Thanks in advance :D

I like my cob’s name Bodey (not Irish I know) but you could call your cob Bodie (spelt the correct way, unlike mine)? Or Brodie?

My old Irish Cob was called Benson.

Murphy and Paddy are nice Irish Names but they are also very common.

As fumanchu said, Seamus is a nice name. Or what about Rory? Or Eric? Or Dylan? :)

I decided earlier that Gordon Brown is actually a rather lovely name for a horse when taken out of context.

Not Irish but I wanted to call my skewbald cob baby Friday :o I swithered over it for ages before deciding that changing his name (which is Piper) was too much hassel. So he's now known almost exculsively as Pipsqueak, unless he's being told off. :o

Perhaps a name related to where he is near ;)

Tully - Tullycross ;
Dorri - Dorringtown
Doon - Doone
Bally - Ballymore ; Ballykilroe ; Ballyboy; Ballykeeran
Felim* - Toorfelim

*Felim is pronounced Fay-lym and also spelled Phelim, Feidhlim and Phelim. It's Irish for "Ever Good" :)
