Beautiful blue great dane, eight months old and already the size of a horse. Poor woman on the other side of the road came within inches of hitting him, having been doing 50mph, he would have got them both killed.

Managed to wrestle him into my car, whereupon Dax squeezed onto the parcel shelf and proceeded to start up an earsplitting howl ("Mooooom, I don't like hiiiiim! MOOOOM!") Blue Dane joins in. My ears start ringing. :o

Call the number on his tag - it's the local vet - they try his owner, no answer. They give me his house number - no answer, house looks abandoned, no curtains etc. Drive to vet with howling chorus in back. :rolleyes:

Vet sticks him in the kennels, cheerily informing me that Blue has been there in these circumstances several times before. :mad:

Nation of bumholes, etc :mad::rolleyes:

Oh dear:( Well done for lassoeing him though! You can forgive one escapee incident, but more than one? Learn the lessons people!

You need to start carrying emergency earplugs in the car;)

Yes, once is forgivable but at this rate he won't see his first birthday! :( The amount of damage he could cause to car and driver is considerable too, he is gigantic.

His owners didn't answer the phone but the nurse said they'd only been in the previous week to buy food so at least he hasn't been abandoned or anything.

Poor Dax is a bit traumatised, I've never known her to not like a dog! :eek:
