I've got tickets for Fridays performance. Anyone else going? I've saw them in training last year in Vienna so I'm really looking forward to it and of course seeing Carl and Charlotte. I'm taking my very non horsey OH with me so I'm hoping he enjoys it. As far as he's concerned the only horses worth bothering with are they type you place bets on :).

I'm sure he will be suitably impressed ;) I saw them last year at Wembley and was blown away. Would love to see them in Vienna, v jealous!

I saw them when I was 10.

Fantastic show, absolutely breathtaking, until one of the horses had a coronary and dropped dead halfway through, scarring me for life in the process! They had to turn all the lights out and drag it away with a tractor in front of everyone, then they carried on.

V sad, v professional but I'm afraid it's all I think of now when I see the words Spanish Riding School!

Sure that wont happen to you OP.
Was a fantastic show otherwise!

 Patterdale that's awful :( How sad. Their top horses are quite a good age, aren't they. I wonder if that was a factor?

I'm going on Saturday night, cant wait! Friend and i are going to make a day of it and go for a late lunch/early dinner and then head over to see the show

Oh and yeah, make sure you go to the right place!! :D
P.S. it's at the NIA not the NEC, would hate you to turn up at the wrong place. :)

Patterdale ....Oh:eek: that must have been traumatic. I'm hoping that won't happen ..

Seeing them in their own stables and watching them train the younger horses is really amazing. Their stables are pretty much a horse palace. The tour includes being shown around the stables and tack room and they say don't touch the horses but could I resist  beautiful creatures :D

Going on Sunday with my son. :)

See how well I read the email..:o it would all have come clear I'm sure when I put the post code in the sat nav. Tickets didn't arrive so I'm waiting for the letter to confirm we can get duplicate tickets at the door.

Did you get tickets fron ticket factory as my YHL tickets never came and I had to collect at door. Never had a problem before but is it common thing to happen

Yes.. I called them Monday when the tickets hadn't arrived and they said they were posted out to me but of they did I never got them :)

They said mine were printed on 5th and sent out. They never came so I collected at box office. They still have not come and there was an enormous list of people who had to collect them at box office. It must be saving them a fortune in postage. I bought 5 tickets but in 2 bookings so paid £3 in booking fee. I live 2 miles from NEC but not sure where they are printed.

I saw them a few years ago (A friend bought the tickets) Very nice but I wouold not go again.

I feel it is very much like circus tricks , as I do not like top level dressage. Horses put in to positions that are not natural.

My hubby is taking me on Friday for my birthday treat. Can't wait :D

So there will be another bored husband to keep yours company OP

I saw them last year at Wembley, wouldn't bother again, but Carl and Charlotte will be fab. It was Carl and Lee Pearson last year, they were so good I think it madethe rest a bit 'boring'

What a coincidence :) mine are also a birthday present and I almost forgot it was on as my birthday was in July. I was going to ask a horsey friend but OH has a trip home so it seemed mean to not include him. I'm trying hard to get him interested in horses so maybe it'll help ..:)

I'm also going on Sunday at 3! So, so excited. Saw them years ago when I was much younger and remember going on about it for ages afterwards so must have been impressed!

Just home from the NIC ... I am so impressed. I saw Carl Hester ride Utopia :D. What a horse what a rider.. Charlotte was riding Lenny who also performed well. Lee Pearson was very witty and did a turn.
There was a bit of playing up going on with the Spanish horses and one rider was unseated doing the airs above the ground part when the horse decided that once was not enough and added a few bucks. Actually a few of them were playing up. AND what's wrong with people ! How many times does someone have to say " do not to use cameras because the flash could upset the horses!!

I know!! I mean, how bloody rude (just got back myself and too wake for sleep!!) I felt like going round abd saying what exactly are you doing!!

Thought Carl as always was such an entertainer as well as I inspiration, the extended trot was just out of this world... Lee was very funny and I thoroughly enjoyed the Spanish horses, some of them seemed so keen on their movements and simply couldn't wait. Lovely to watch.

Going tonight really looking forward to it.
Not knowing where either of you live and how long your journey home was, I wondered could you tell me what time the performance ended so I can estimate what time we'll get home. Many thanks

My very non horsey OH said that Carl and Utopia all the Spanish horses look ordinary :) that extended trot was incredible. Great night.
