Well, what do I say?
I am simply blown away by the kindness of friends and strangers alike.
There really are no words to describe how much I appreciate what you all did, whether it was just a kind word, wishing me luck or if you posted on facebook etc, or came out to look!

You all gave me hope that I would see my best friend again and kept me positive, even though I was sure I wouldn't see him alive again.

I wish I could thank you all personally, but so many of you helped!!
A huge thank you to Carefreegirl for holding on to him for me and thank you to D_D for spamming facebook!!

If there's anything I can ever do for any of you, don't hesitate to ask!!!! I owe y'all one!

Here's his start point (left) and where he was discovered

Here's the monkey on the way home

What time did he manage to do that in!! I live in the same area... Soooo glad you have him back. Did he just make a break for it? Well done carefreegirl!

You and Ned and your touching story are very loved here, Nah. :)

I logged onto Facebook when I got back from the yard the evening and immediately saw two posts (one from D-D, the other from Armas) about a missing horse and was horrified to see it was Ned.

I'm sure everyone's heart was racing like mine, and we're all just so relieved he's okay.

:):)

I believe he was heading home, I used to hack where he was found all the time. It was our favourite ride!
I can't believe he crossed that road and lived to tell the tale. Not only that, but the fact he didn't hurt anyone else! The 'what ifs' are too much to think about!!

He's lame, but not as bad as I thought! Not much worse than he was already! He is SUCH a lucky horse!

So pleased you got him back in one piece, hope he's not to sore tomorrow. What's the plan with him now?

Bless him,the little homing pigeon/horse that he is! Glad he's safe &relatively unscathed-how utterly terrifying for you-you will both sleep well tonight!:)

Ps. Can't believe how far he went!!

yea! I want to know how he got over all those fields! Did he jump or did he look for a gap? :O

Not 100% sure of the plan, but new YO owns a separate yard, run by another woman who does 24hr turnout. I'm going to see it, but who knows. For the time being he's at the old yard, but I really don't want to stay there, for both our sakes. I just need somewhere, where he can be 100% contained! (and cheap!)

The other new yard sounds promising, fingers crossed!

Me thinks he wants to be a jumper, no excuses for him when he's back in work lol :p

Another picture - This is actually the first picture I took of him when we were reunited:P
He was an absolute star to walk home. Just in a headcollar and leadrope! He didn't put a foot wrong, but kept trying to nuzzle my back, I think he was happy to see me :P

AND I was so glad I kept his headcollar on. New yard doesn't really like headcollars in fields, but out of habit I left it on. I almost went back and took it off, but I told myself "I'll just be a min, he'll be fine..." famous last words LOL

Bless him, he doesnt have a clue about the panic he just caused .

Thats the quintessential "Oh! Hello! What are you doing here?... Me? Why what did I do?" face ;) My lad is king at that face when caught where he shouldn't be! :D

So so glad you got him back Nah! What a monkey he is! Get him fitted with a GPS locator ;)
