NED IS FOUND! - You guys are really the best!

Last night I decided to take one more peak on FB before closing up my phone. The first post I saw was a pic of Ned and Nah and telling me Ned was missing. That was heartbreaking. So glad he's been found safe.

Might be worth getting a dog tag made up with your contact numbers on and attaching it to his head collar. And also enter him in the Puissance at Olympia this year :D

I'm so pleased :) H used to pee off if you fell off him, and I know how worrying that was. You want to hug them and kill them when you find them.

Ditto Carefreegirl about dog tags on everything. Also, if you haven't already, get him freezemarked. You'll be reunited a lot quicker if Joe Public rings the police and says 'I've found this horse with numbers on its shoulder' than if Joe Public rings the police and says 'I've found a brown horse'.

ps It sounds like you've got yourself a good long distance horse there ;)

I have nothing to do with any H&H forum members at all, but I still saw him in my newsfeed!

Glad he's been found safe and well. That's a fair hike he took himself on!you should invent some kind of GPS tag to keep on his head collar!

So glad he's home safe and sound (ish!) excuse the pun!
Agree that face in the pics is a classic "who? Me? What have I done?" face!

I'm sorry I missed the original thread but saw some posts on Facebook and thought I recognised him. I know I'm not too far from you. So glad you've got your boy back, you must've been beyond distraught. *hugs*

I think most of HHO had their hearts in their mouths last night.

Thank God you found him.

I really hope you can work something out with regards another yard, but glad he's safely back at old yard.

I only go wind of this after he'd been found & all was well again, but I just want to say how genuinely happy I am that you got him back safe & sound :) It must have been so awful, not knowing where he was or which direction to go in.. Glad you've got such brilliant friends :D

I also missed this last night. How terrifying for you, Nah, I am so happy that you have Ned safely back and that he is miraculously ok.

How are you both today, hope you are on after your adventures,
I agree tag on head collar with your phone number great idea but aslso freeze mark not only to get him back but deter someone from deciding to keep him.
Let us hope he has had enough of adventures for a while.

So very glad you got him back. I admit there were a few tears of relief from me when I saw he was found. I can't believe he crossed that road... bad boy.

I hope he is ok this morning and that you manage to sort out a yard to your (and his) satisfaction, give him a hug from me and tell him never to worry everyone like that again. xx

I think a situation like this is everyone's worst nightmare - it's what always worries me if I'm hacking alone.

I didn't see it until after he'd been found (not for want of trying he's on my newsfeed a dozen times over  ) but I think anyway can understand the panic you were feeling - I'm honestly not surprised by the reaction on here. There's not a person on here who wouldn't want a lost horse reunited with his boss, I'm sure.

Even a drunken reprobate like Ned!

Nah! I don't understand.. Are you moving again? What happened?

Honestly...I'm not 100% sure yet! I'm at a complete loss at what to do with him! New YO has offered me a space at her other yard (unsure why she didn't do this first, but hey ho!) where they all live out all the time and he will never be left alone. But would that be good enough for him? I don't want us both to be taken advantage of again at old yard. It's frustrating because I know he would love it at my friends field, but I'm not able to take him there :(

And am on eBay now, ordering a couple of tags!! I did actually have some, but they were on my saddle/bridle and they have my old number on. New ones are needed f'sure!

Haha! Very true :P
I just hope I could help in some way, if god forbid, it happens so someone else.

I never thought he would actually run away. He's always jumped out, but never gone far. He must have been determined, it's not an easy fence to jump at all!
