First of all, ignore my stupid face in the pictures :P

Now, onto the report!
I woke up this morning to a downpour! I decided (and my parents begged me) not to jump, but I had promised YO I'd help much out/prepare etc before hand, so I went anyway and took my stuff, just in case.
On the way, I had a thought! Just because I wasn't jumping, didn't mean I couldn't enter!
I entered "Horse/pony judge would most like to take home" and "Novice Handler" since I haven't shown in-hand since I was about 12 and I've never shown Ned in-hand.

He was really fired up and nervous, as he is before every show, but I walked him around a lot and he settled and ate the grass, watching his friends jump.
Someone came and told me it was time to go in the ring...but I was the only one entering!!

I was kinda disappointed that I didn't have any competition for either class, but he behaved so so so well when he was in the ring, I didn't really care :D

The judges were very kind and gave me a few hints for next time (I was on the wrong side of his head, woops!!) and I think I'll enter more next time :D

Well done to both of you, he looks like a nice sort.
Glad that the judges took time and gave you a few tips, good luck with the next show :O)
Dont think I have ever seen such long grass in a show ring!

Thanks everyone :D I can't wait to enter the next one!!

TeresaGarsden - They were really nice judges :) They were very friendly and chatty.
Yea, the grass is much longer than it usually is, as horses are usually turned out in the rings while shows aren't on to mow the grass, but it's been so damp that they've not had as much turnout. It was really tricky trying to jog through it XD I can honestly say I am soaked through!

Wooo at least you got red rosettes, you don't need to tell anyone the circumstances ;)

And it's all good practice anyway, good on Ned for being so well behaved!

Love how you managed to sneak a bit of red into your outfit too :D

Hehe yea ;) :P
They're my first 1sts! I've never won higher than 3rd on another horse or higher than 2nd on Ned. The only other 1st I have is for Annie :P but she doesn't have hooves, so it doesn't count :P

I thought I should have red somewhere ^^ I have a red tie and waistcoat and ribbon in my hair :D

Well done, you both look really good. One thing, do your blooming tie up properly! Top button done up and the tie small and tight and all the way up to the top... I'm feeling all head girlish now having said that!

Its ok I thought the same :o

So pleased youre having fun!!!

Another vote for the button and tie I'm afraid, I know, we're all OCD freaks!!!! I'd suggest a hairnet too, and am secretly v jealous of your Locks!

Yay well done! I will post my report once I have the photos! Put it this way, I'm a very happy girly!,

Woops! I hadn't even noticed my tie had slipped! It was fine when I left XD The grass is usually good, but the horses haven't been out to mow it for us :P It wasn't so bad, my legs just got a bit damp :P
