has come back...

ALL CLEAR!!!!!

The vet came, check him over and got me to trot him up a few times and said "Yep, you can get on and go when you want!"

And I did just that :)

I hopped on and rode to the next village over across the fields! It was a challenging ride - He's not been ridden since mid-may!!
He wasn't strong or silly, even in probably the biggest, most open field he's ever seen, but he was pretty spooky. He had to contend with a swivel chair, rabid (not really) dogs, wheelie bins and ducks!! He was very very good considering, I didn't feel unsafe at any time.
Of course, we're just going to do walking rides for a while, probably to the next village and around my village. I think I'll spend the winter fittening him up, so I can get on and do stuff next year in the summer :D

I am thrilled. I feel like I have my horse back!

Out and about!

Back in the field with his friend! (thankfully Cookie doesn't mind being left!)

Aw that's great news! So pleased for you and Ned :D Cookie is just adorable, if you ever decide a shetland is too much mischief post Cookie to me ;)

Thanks guys! I am absolutely ecstatic :) I spent most of the day at work worrying in case there was no improvement, but it couldn't have gone any better!

Teehee, Cookie is a handful, but I don't think I'll be buying a big envelope quite yet :P he's far too cute!!

Nah, I love reading your posts; you always seem to really enjoy your ponies, ridden or otherwise, but I'm so glad for you that you can get on riding Ned again, great news :-)
