need a horse fast

I am trying to be nice (it does happen sometimes) and i think ILH is just fantasising about what life would be like if she really DID have a horse, went off to ag college, etc.

When I was 14 I would have killed for a horse of my own, but it was not to be. My parents were not prepared to support me financially (and now i have my own horse, i know what expensive things they are), and they wanted me to concentrate on my school work and not get a job.

I was 35 before i had a horse of my own, and even then she was a share, which became a loan. i now have my lovely Ella on loan. You WILL get a horse, if you are committed enough, but stop telling porkie-pies, and just knuckle down, work as hard as you can at school and see if you can find a share or even just a work-for-rides at the riding school.

Does he come with the lovely purple saddle WD?.

You are 14, you say, how can you afford the cost of weekly care without help from your parents?

because i dont have any thats how and i do this little thing called work

Hahahahaha. You could at least attempt to be believable!

So you're 14, you have no parents although you're too young to live without a guardian. You can afford a horse because you work, except that due to your age there are very few jobs you can actually do, and serious restrictions on how many hours you can work - therefore there is no way you could actually earn enough to support yourself and a horse. You're going to college, despite again being too young for it, and of course fitting in your self supporting work and financing your horse alongside study. Oh and you get your vet services for free - priceless

I wonder what this 14 yr olds 'job' is where she can afford the keep of a horse all by herself.

If your planning on going to college I would hope you study harder at writing English because its really not your strong point.
Perhaps said vet is connected to the said 'job'? Lol sorry thats a bit evil of me suggesting that. This has got to be a Troll!

I think Tawny would suit you. She's beautiful, gorogeous mane and tail, a real kids or teenager's horse.

I was looking for £300 for her, but will sell for £200 if she goes to a real good home. She loves to be fussed over and groomed, and will do dressage and jump anything you ask her to. In fact, your imagination is the limit. I'll throw in all tack rugs and grooming kit with her.

I can do a really good livery package for you too. I'll do EVERYTHING for you - groom, feed, rugs, tack up, do her feet, teeth and all veterinary for £200 pcm - so you don't have to worry about unexpected bills. You can rider her whenever you want, she never gets tired.

i have a nice TB 15,2 jumps for fun for 700 ono? you will get sweet FA for 200! you can kill and cash for more than that!!!!! and can you afford to keep one if that is your budget? shoes wormers vaccinations teeth plus food plus bedding plus tackn plus rugs the list could go on and on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP - you have posted many times before about wanting a horse urgently. In previous posts you have said age, breed etc etc don't matter but you would prefer a TB type. Many people have tried to help you before. But TBH to be looking for a good all rounder for £200 just puts you in the "Not On This Planet" category. As suggested before, why don't you get yourself along to your local riding school and help, help, help until your arms ache. When you have built some local credibility and trust, I bet you'd be able to work for a "free" ride on a school horse. From there, you would get to know what the market is like out there and what horses cost and exactly what you'd get for £200. You never know, there might be a livery who would be happy to have you exercise her horse a couple of times a week. You need to build up slowly not just announce you want a good all rounder for £200. It is so totally stupid that I don't blame people for thinking you are a troll.

I had that horse years ago and it couldn't even stand up let alone walk. Used to fall on its side and flail about on the floor. Send it to the meat man!

I think a lot of you are being very cruel tbh... if the OP is 14, as they say they are, and as they act (or younger) then yes they probably are making some of this up, and a lot of it probably is fantasies. But they're a CHILD. How would you feel if your child was being spoken to like some of you lot are doing?? Yes, it's not right to make things up, but then just ignore it if it bothers you that much. No need to be so cruel and childish yourselves. As adults this is less excusable imo.

OK, one last try.

OP, this approach isn't working very well. My suggestion would be to come back here as your nice 14 year old self instead of the persona you are currently trying to project. IF you have no parents, are in care etc then of course getting your own horse will be difficult but if you are a kind friendly approachable person on here then there will be plenty of people near you who will try to give you a chance, offer to let you help out with their horses etc. Trying to be hard-nosed about it all just puts people's backs up. Evidence on this thread! Remember, you may desperately want a horse and many of us were in the same position not only at your age but until we were three times as old as you. Those of us who have horses are all too well aware that it isn't even really the purchase cost that is so hard to find, the regular payments to maintain the animal is a killer, especially as with horses you so often have unexpected bills to pay as well.

Please consider abandoning this login. Start up with a new one and glean as much information as you can from here, make friends of your own age in the Common Room and start getting some fun and enjoyment from horses and horsy people before you subject yourself to the chilly mornings, mud, muck and penury of horse ownership.
