Well that will teach me for being smug!

I have had my loaner for just coming up to a year and looked on smugly at all the posts about trying to find good sharers etc. :D

Until today when she told me she is buying her own horse (which is fantastic as it gives me another hacking partner and an excuse to go horsey shopping!) and I've now got to start the search for someone new.

I know I've been very spoiled as she was only the second to see him (the first was a complete nutter) and is super reliable etc etc and now I'm thinking I can't be that lucky twice...

I've put a few feelers out amongst friends to see if they know of anyone but I'm dreading the full on advert and showing people etc.

If I was looking to be a sharer I would be chuffed to find him (I'm not saying that just as his owner!) as he is the sort that I couldn't find myself when looking to share - super safe and sane, kick to go, pull to stop etc.

He is so uncomplicated that a child can handle him - he wanders along beside you without needing the lead rope and happily lets you sweep under and around him if he's in when you're mucking out.

I just don't have the energy for the whole advertising process and worry that I will choose the wrong person.

Anyway, essay over - if anyone wants a safe and sane cob to part-loan please let me know!! :D:D

Otherwise I am just looking for advertising places (apart from Horsetoloan, freeads and preloved) from when I do eventually get round to doing an ad.

Hi Julia (am from TRF-used to be stabled at HD/R) I know the feeling! My spotty has just loast her loaner and she's as bombproof and calm as Manny. It seems to be a dry period for part loaners at the mo, and if I do get any interest it all seems to be from kids wanting to bomb round as fast as possible jumping everything in sight! Not what I want at all-need someone to concentrate on bringing on her flatwork/enjoy hacking as she's only a baby and still slightly green. Really not enjoying the search! Good luck!

Yeh I'm in the same boat lots of people enquiring that just aren't suitable, I know what I want from a sharer I just need another me and I'll be fine!! I'm sure the right people will find us eventually:)

Like KVH I also used to be at HD/RF - I rode 3 up there at different times, found one advertised on Frogpool classifieds, the other on TRF. The main thing that put me off when I was looking to find something to ride was flexibility due to my work at the time, and the extortionate cost some people were asking!

(BTW if you are stabled at HD/RF you may recognise 2 from my signature - 1 from her pre-mummy days! ;))
