LMAO but you do have my symapthy.....from someone who dropped her phone whilst out hacking. It was switched on, but I couldnt hear it ringing.....because it was on silent:rolleyes:
Nice army man found it and returned it to me:D
You have fun shifting those bales.....:D:D:D

been there! FIL lost his phone during harvest, cue MIL and myself trawling the fields in almost darkness, ringing his phone and trying to hear it over the noise of the combine and tractors that were still going!
Thankfully FIL is hard of hearing, so the volume is turned up highest. It still took a bloody long time to find!

OH electrocuted his mobile last week.......by charging it, whilst it sat in a small pool of water that had dripped off the defosting chicken.

Totally fried its brains out. RIP mobile.

And no....he didn't have any contacts written down either, the turnip.

I drove off with mine on the car roof.....never mind the lost numbers, I was more bothered about the sentimental photos I had on it, that i had been meaning to download for ages and never got around to it. lesson learnt now though. I do have my numbers written down though .

I dropped mine down a portaloo at a horse show once, several years ago.....

Yuck  did you .... nah...I really don't want to know what happened next :D

I drove over mine the other night in the dark, it slipped off my lap when I got out of the car after hunting, I didn't realise, then moved the car - zapped it!

I just miss my photo's  the sim was ok for the numbers though :)

Oops! Title should be "Phone. Haystack..." i lost my mobile on a X country course once. Rode all the way round the course, the wrong way to try to find it... Found it at the beginning in a huge muddy puddle. The only way I found it was because the arial was poking up out of the mud...

Good luck missus... :)

to all those that drove over their phone or dropped it or sent it swimming.....:-

I had an old water resistant nokia before, it 'swam' in 3 different oceans around the world, got eaten by a horse and dropped from various great heights.......still going now! The samsung is supposed to be even better!!!!! :D:D:D

I had a Nokia business phone that was virtually indestructable. I once pitched it (accidentaly) across a car park amongst other disasters, but it kept on going strong. I never did manage to break it, sadly I lost it instead!

Still not found the blasted thing. I really need it too.

Upside is that my hay shed is now incredibly tidy, pallets lifted, floor raked, 30 bales of hay LOOSE because I split them. That's a bit of a pain having to shift loose hay but not having my phone is worse, I was in the middle of a deal and hadn't got inside to write numbers down:(

Dropped my phone on silent in the middle of the school at Stockland Lovell...friend had a genius idea. Wait until it got dark went out and called it and we could see the screen lighting up! :D

Argh! nightmare!

i remember rushing about to finish on my half day back when i was a WP - went to get in the car and realised I'd lost my phone!! cue 3 hours wasted looking about for it, only to find that it had dropped out my pocket into a haynet when i was filling them up.

it was on bloody silent too - but i eventually heard it vibrating off the ground!

After shifting bales, opening about 30 and then sifting through the loose hay (now peed off because I have to cart loose hay about:mad: ) I was just having a mega tantrum chucked a bale down and the blasted phone fell out of it!

That will serve me right, I am ditching the damn thing and going back to being phoneless, I managed without it for 4 years afterall.:)

Now I can laugh about all your tales of lost phones, love the porta-loo one especially.

Don't give up too easily - I lost mine at work a few weeks ago, went to work the next day and went in all of the stables ringing it. (It was on silent and vibrate) and found it at the bottom of one of the horse's beds! jsiohficu, cvgjae

Enfys - glad to hear you found your phone!

I have this Nokia:
http://www.qortuba.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/nokia32101-300x300.jpg
Which is about 9 yrs old now and I refuse to get another one as it is indestructable!

It has been trodden on by the horse, dropped on numerous concrete floors, accidentaly thrown across the room and sat on and all it has to show for this is a tiny hairline crack in the screen :)
Any of these fancy new phones which are alll screen wouldn't stand a chance! ;)

However if anyone has an old battery lying around I could use a spare as mines getting a bit 'special' :)
